Lantern Making Workshops:
In preparation for the Twilight Openings, the museum will host Lantern Making Workshops in collaboration with local schools and community groups. These workshops, held on August 3rd, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, will guide participants in creating their own lanterns to be displayed during the evening events. The workshops are open to all ages and skill levels, making it a fantastic opportunity for families and children to get involved in the festivities.
Involvement with Local Schools:
As part of the museum's ongoing commitment to community engagement, local schools are actively involved in the lantern-making process. Students will have the chance to learn about the historical significance of lanterns, as well as the craft of making them, bringing their creations to life during the Twilight Openings.
This initiative not only enhances the event but also fosters a deeper connection between the museum and the local youth.
